About Us
Scott Stephens received a traumatic brain injury as a result of a
motor vehicle accident in May 1983. It left him with impaired
mobility and speech. Scott was in a coma for over nine months
and was given little hope of regaining consciousness. In the
spring of 1984 he beat the odds and began the long road to a
meaningful existence.
As part of his rehabilitation, Scott spent many hours on the
computer. Working to improve his vocational skills, initially at
Massachusetts Hospital School, and later at Mentor's reentry day
program, Scott showed an interest in computers and began to
create personalized note pads. He contacted different
rehabilitation facilities who gave him the opportunity to sell
his note pads in their gift shops.
Scott's home based operation eventually expanded and he formed
his own business, Stationery Designs, Etc., located in Woburn,
MA. With the help of a job coach, this highly motivated survivor
took a major step in his efforts to increase his independence.
Stationery Designs, Etc. offers the Birchcraft, Regency and Chase
lines of wedding invitations and holiday cards, as well as the
Inscribe lines of personalized announcements. In addition to
note pads, personalized stationery, imprinted napkins and
novelties are available. We also specialize in custom orders and
personalized mailing lists.
